For Over 100 Years…

Union Church was founded in February 1924 by J.C. Field who believed that a church community was needed to serve the non-Catholic and non-Anglican English-speaking community of Lima.

The first public service was held on March 12, 1924 on the Plazuela de San Augustin in Centro de Lima. On March 10, 2024 we celebrated 100 years as a church in and for Lima!

John Thompson
Lead Pastor

Reverend John Thompson is a U.S. Army veteran who has over 30 years of ministry experience. He and his wife Abi previously planted a multiethnic church in Atlanta, Georgia (U.S.) while serving as an adjunct professor, the Senior Director of Global Impact at the Agapao Movement, a regional catalyst for the Acts 29 Network in Latin America, and a Ph.D. candidate at Liberty University.
