For Over 100 Years…
Union Church was founded in February 1924 by J.C. Field who believed that a church community was needed to serve the non-Catholic and non-Anglican English-speaking community of Lima.
The first public service was held on March 12, 1924 on the Plazuela de San Augustin in Centro de Lima. On March 10, 2024 we celebrated 100 years as a church in and for Lima!

John Thompson
Lead Pastor
Reverend John Thompson is a combat wounded veteran who has served all over the world. Prior to moving to Lima, he and his wife Abi planted a multiethnic church in Atlanta, Georgia. Pastor John has a wide array of ministry experience, having served as an Adjunct Professor, the Senior Director of Global Impact at the Agapeo Movement, and in college and student ministry. He is a member of Acts 29 in Latin America, the Times12 Church Planting Network, and is a PhD candidate Columbia International University.
